• Library and Archives Canada has a Military and Peacekeeping Collection
• WW1 attestation papers can also be accessed through Library and Archives Canada 
• The Commonwealth War Graves Commission maintains the war graves of military personnel
• Ancestry has links to Canadian military information on its paid subscription site

Newspapers

• The British Colonist newspaper’s 1858 – 1910 editions are hosted on-line by the University of Victoria
• With a valid Vancouver Public Library card, The Bowen Island Undercurrent is searchable online from 2004 to present when you click on Canadian Newsstand and search for Bowen Island Undercurrent.
• The Bowen Island Museum and Archives has a complete run of the Undercurrent back issues.
