How to Find Us
By public transit: Take the No. 257 or 250 Blue bus from Georgia Street in Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay and walk on at the BC Ferries Terminal. Steps from the Snug Cove ferry terminal, you'll find Davies Heritage Orchard and more.
By car: If you are visiting Snug Cove and the Davies Heritage Orchard, you will not need a car. If you wish to visit the rest of the island, you could consider bringing your car onto the island. However, there is a new taxi service (Bowen Land and Sea Taxi - 604 250-TAXI) and there are commuter buses but with a limited schedule. If you plan to leave your car in Horseshoe Bay, take Highway #1 to Horseshoe Bay and take the "village" exit. Park either in the parkade immediately off the exit ramp or in parking lots closer to the terminal. Street parking is limited and closely watched. If you bring your car, The Queen of Capilano carries both cars and passengers to Bowen Island. The ferry schedule varies seasonally and should be consulted for both arrival and departure times. And you should allow a little extra time and patience for line-ups. By water taxi: For schedules and tickets, see the website for English Bay Launch. Take our award-winning walking tour: Copies of the walking tour brochure are available at Cottage 20, Davies Orchard Lane and soon to be available on this website. From the Snug Cove ferry terminal, walk along Bowen Island Trunk Road to Cottage Lane (between the Tuscany Restaurant and the Barber Shop). Guided tours: In the summer, Bowen Heritage offers guided tours of the Orchard and Museum. To confirm our office will be open when you arrive, email bowenheritage@gmail.com.
